The fix for this issue breaks beans with DataModel properties (I'm not using @DataModel annotation). Basically, when JSF gets the property through EL, it gets back the correct datamodel but ManagedEntityIdentityInterceptor replaces its wrapped data with null in the meantime so when displayed on the page it turns out to be empty.
