Shane Bryzak commented on JBSEAM-3279:
--------------------------------------
The amount of work to integrate DWR into Seam would far exceed the amount of work required
to fix any minor issues/feature requests that are still outstanding in Seam Remoting.
Also, the conversational scope issue is only one of a number of road blocks.
Integrate Seam with DWR, transform Seam Remoting in Seam Remoting
Extensions for DWR

Key: JBSEAM-3279
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBSEAM-3279
Project: Seam
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Remoting
Reporter: Francisco Jose Peredo Noguez
Assignee: Shane Bryzak
I think that perhaps Seam should follow a the principle of "doing one thing and
doing it really well" and offer integration with DWR, that way, it would give the job
of handling remoting to DWR.
In that way DWR guys can concentrate in what they do best (remoting), and Seam guys can
concentrate in what Seam does best: integration of different technologies, as it did by
integrating with JSF, GWT, iText, JMS, JPA, etc, instead of reinventing them.
Seam Remoting could transform in to Seam Remoting Extensions for DWR, and offer things
like integration of DWR with Seam contexts, etc.
