Validating is always a good idea. I can tell you that Eclipse is pretty stupid about
validation. If for some reason the website hosting the XSD file is down (because of
course Eclipse LOVES to use the internet), then it screams and bitches that the XML file
does not validate. Once the internet is back up, it is difficult to convince Eclipse that
it was the one in the wrong. So don't ever base your final observation on what
Eclipse says. xmllint is a beauty. xmlstarlet is good as well.
web.xml is invalid per xsd (generated by seam-gen and in examples)
