Michael Youngstrom closed JBSEAM-992.
-------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
I don't know if this really provides any value anymore. I was hoping to be able to
change the spring example so it could be deployable anywhere and not dependent upon
microcontainer or jboss but that would require changing the example to use only Spring
managed transactions. Using only Spring managed transactions is possible now with
JBSEAM-1144 fixed but it would require creating a new Transactions component that would
always return "NoTransaction" and after talking with Gavin that is not a
component they want added to the Seam code base right now.
So I'm going to go ahead and close this issue for now. Those of you that voted for
this issue and are not happy that I'm not fixing it comment here or email me with
details on what you were hoping to get out of this issue being fixed and I will do my best
to help you out.
Use Spring configured EntityManagerFactory in spring example
------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBSEAM-992
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-992
Project: JBoss Seam
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Spring
Affects Versions: 1.2.0.GA
Reporter: Michael Youngstrom
Assigned To: Michael Youngstrom
Fix For: 1.3.0.BETA1
Since most Spring project will be using a Spring configured EntityManagerFactory we
should use one in the Spring example as well and inject this EntityManagerFactory into the
Seam Managed PersistenceContext component with an expression.
