Then I modified the maven repository & build to fake in an ejb-api-3.1.jar (changed version in root.pom.xml) while actually using javax.javaee-10.0-tp-2-SNAPSHOT.jar from C:\glassfishv3-tp2\glassfish\modules. cleaned and built successfully. Intentionally broke the maven repository with a junk jar and compile failed indicating the javax.ejb package was actually replaced. So I think seam compiles with ejb 3.1 (alpha or ?) successfully. One thing to note the ejb 3.1 annotation processing does the job and there is less in the xml deployer layer. For example the ejb-jar.xml is no longer used. And since the ear and ejb jar projects are no longer needed, there are no application.xml,deployed *-ejb.jar or *.ear.
