In the same vein as @Converter and @Validator a @UIComponent annotation would be nice. Something like: This <component> <component-type>com.xxx.faces.HtmlInputInteger</component-type> <component-class>com.xxx.faces.component.html.c</component-class> </component> becoming @Name( "com.xxx.faces.HtmlInputInteger" ) @UIComponent // component type defaults to @Name public class HtmlInputInteger extends UIComponent { }
