It was originally possible to do this, but Gavin changed/removed this functionality. I
would like to see the functionality returned. However, we have to be very careful to
preserve the existing functionality with regard to overriding components.

There is currently no easy way to disable automatically installed components (either from
your app or from from Seam itself).
In particular the filters need to be disableable.
