Mariusz Smykula commented on JBSEAM-1384:
-----------------------------------------
If you want to use seam-gen project in "right way" in WTP, you need to create
EAR project, related Dynamic Web Project and EJB project. After this you need to simple
copy files from seam-gen to this projects. This is not so hard, but the problem is with
tests. In WTP Ear depends on subprojects and there is no easy way to tests app (I dont
know how do this).
This looks like this:
http://seam-forum.googlecode.com/svn/branches/old_maven/
You only need to run: mvn eclipse:eclipse -Dwtpversion=1.5 to enable this for WTP.
In maven projects this is very easy to switch project from plain eclipse to eclipse wtp or
netbeans. With ant this impossible.
I think many companies already switched to WTP and maven, and now if we want to work with
seam, we need to downgrade WTP to eclipse and maven to ant...
Support for Eclipse WTP in seam-gen projects
--------------------------------------------
Key: JBSEAM-1384
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1384
Project: JBoss Seam
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Tools, Test Harness
Affects Versions: 1.2.1.GA
Reporter: Mariusz Smykula
Auto deploy system and support for web application in Eclipse WTP is simple, easy and
fast. This is much better solution than deploying with ant.
Eclipse WTP 2.0 is comming in near time, so I think better support for WTP will be good.
Now, users of WTP cant use Dynamic Web Project for working with application.
