I can't reproduce this issue - I tried using Firefox, Chrome and IE all at the same
time and all messages were sent without a problem. My only difference in environment is
JDK 6. Could you please test this again using latest svn trunk?

It works flawlessly on JDK6 but on JDK5 with the r9536 it now throws NPE when user tries
to log in. It is not Windows specific anymore since I am getting the same result on Fedora
as well.

Yes, it does. NPE appears at the very first connection attempt. When trying to connect for
second time it succeedes. Problem with message interchange remains. When I open chatroom
application in 4 independent browsers the sent message is usually displayed on 2-3 of
them. It does not seem to be problem of one specific browser.

Ok I can reproduce this now, using JDK 5. The problems seem to be intermittent, sometimes
throwing exceptions in the console and sometimes particular browser windows won't
respond (no messages displayed, no user list, etc). I'll need to spend some time
investigating this.
