Affects Version/s: 2.0.1.GA
Assignee: Pete Muir
Priority: Minor (was: Major)
Documentation of Seam transactions misleading regarding transaction
boundaries
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBSEAM-2733
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-2733
Project: JBoss Seam
Issue Type: Task
Components: Documentation Issues
Affects Versions: 2.1.0.A1, 2.0.1.GA
Reporter: Jacob Orshalick
Assigned To: Pete Muir
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 2.0.2.GA, 2.1.0.GA
The documentation states in Section 8.2. Seam managed transactions:
- use two transactions per request; the first spans the beginning of the update model
values phase until the end of the invoke application phase; the second spans the render
response phase
The first transaction is actually being started before either the RESTORE_VIEW or
APPLY_REQUEST_VALUES phase based on environment configuration. This should be changed in
the documentation. Thanks!
