Jim Tyrrell commented on JBSEAM-627:
------------------------------------
I will say that I saw this issue again yesterday morning when I logged in. I then was
trying to figure out what was wrong, and finally decided to update one of the java files,
User.java I think. Even though I had run ant clean build deploy before, the only way to
make this work on my server was to update the java file. I had also deleted and
reinstalled the app server, tomcat and the seam downloads. I will also add that I was
switching between Tomcat and JBoss and I have tried to reproduce this, but could not. I
think something got hung up in the tomcat build, but I do not know that for sure..and that
is why this was not working in JBoss...but then it was not also working in Tomcat so all
in all very odd. This was an odd bug, and if I can reproduce it I will post it in here.
Validation on example partially works

Key: JBSEAM-627
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-627
Project: JBoss Seam
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 1.1.0.GA
Environment: Linux Fedora Core 6, both in Tomcat 5.5.20 and JBoss 4.0.5 GA
Reporter: Jim Tyrrell
Assigned To: Gavin King
When running the registration example something very intresting happens.
If you try to put in a valid user name ie one with the correct length with a blank
password you get a messeage indicating a "Validation Error". However if you put
in a password of the incorrect length ie too short you get an exception.
If you put in a password or username that are way too long, then you also get the same
exception.
