Resolution: Rejected

UIFileUpload already supports binding to an InputStream property.
FileUploadTag shouldn't require file contents loaded in memory
--------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBSEAM-1234
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1234
Project: JBoss Seam
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JSF
Affects Versions: 1.2.1.GA
Environment: any
Reporter: Stuart Robertson
Assigned To: Shane Bryzak
The FileUploadTag seems to only support passing the uploaded data as a String or byte [].
However the MultipartRequest itself supports capturing the data as a tmp file.
For upload-intensive applications this could well be an issue as referencing the full
file contents in memory could be resource intensive.
What I would like is a way to have the upload tag pass a reference to either the tmpfile
itself (preferred) or an InputStream to the contents (which users could use to create
their own tmp file).
