Description:
In JDK 1.8, the ODBC-JDBC bridge is removed, so accessing MS Access using this method will not be available.
This may require a new translator, but won't be know until a deeper look is done.

> We currently don't allow column or table aliases to contain '.'. This is allowable given a quoted identifier is used. However an early design decision of metamatrix was to relax the rules of naming so that queries against the engine could use quoting (on not) similar to whatever was expected by a given database rather than the engine structure. A lot of resolving and parsing logic will need to change unfortunately to fix this.

> Please find the screenshot attached which has id as a foreign key. when i give the url - //localhost:8080/odata/testVDB/sales('13')/sales_uk?$format=json, i get the results from sales_uk table which are having id=13.

> Now i am trying to apply a filter on this url, i am supposed to get results which are having id=13 and satisfy the filter condition, but this url blindly returns me data from sales_uk table which satisfy the filter condition. > The Teiid caching guide indicates that the /*+ cache */ SQL hint is neccessary in order to cache results [1] . We would like two features added to the OData support: (1) to have a query parameter that basically injects the hint into the SQL statement run against the VDB and (2) a configuration setting that turns on OData resultset caching for all result sets smaller than some size (perhaps 256 as the default)

> I deployed VDB that can be accessed with OData. When I perform DELETE request to remove row for first time response code is 200 OK (maybe it should be 204) but when I repeat the same DELETE request and tried to delete already deleted entry, response is again 200 OK, but it should be 404 Not Found. Same thing happens even I when tried to delete entry with id that doesn't exist at all.
> Only indication of this problem is in the server log:
> {code:plain}INFO [org.teiid.ODATA] (http-/127.0.0.1:8080-1) no entity to delete in = BooksMySQL.BOOKS with key= ('1')
> {code}
> I think that response code for deleting row that doesn't exist should be different than 200 OK.
> For example the service at odata.org returns following content with response code 404 Not Found:
> {code:xml}
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
> <error xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata">
> <code></code>
> <message xml:lang="en-US">Resource not found for the segment 'Products'.</message>
