[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-3696) Duplicates are not always removed when UNION and GROUP BY clauses are used in a subquery
by Johnathon Lee (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-3696?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Johnathon Lee reopened TEIID-3696:

> In some cases, duplicates are not correctly removed when a UNION clause and a GROUP BY are used in a subquery.
> Given, for example, these two views:
> {code:sql}
> CREATE view v1 as
> select 'a' as col1
> UNION
> SELECT '' as col1;
> CREATE view v2 as
> select 'b' as col1
> UNION
> SELECT '' as col1;
> {code}
> running the following query (both col1 and col2 are projected by the main query):
> {code:sql}
> select
> y.col2, y.col1
> from (
> select x.col2, min(x.col1) as col1
> from (
> select 1 as col2, col1 from "views.v1"
> union
> select 1 as col2, col1 from "views.v2"
> ) x
> group by x.col2
> ) y
> {code}
> only 1 row is returned as expected:
> ||col2||col1||
> |1| |
> but if only "col2" is projected by the main query:
> {code:sql}
> select
> y.col2
> from (
> select x.col2, min(x.col1) as col1
> from (
> select 1 as col2, col1 from "views.v1"
> union
> select 1 as col2, col1 from "views.v2"
> ) x
> group by x.col2
> ) y
> {code}
> three rows are returned:
> ||col2||
> |1|
> |1|
> |1|
> This behavior can be reproduced in Teiid-8.12-Beta1.

[~sqtran] After looking for while, I realized the JGroups stack you are using is different from what I have been testing with. It it looks like you are using TCP stack, can share the details of the configuration, so that I can if I can reproduce the issue? IMO this is different issue than original one.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-3035) Request to add NTLM Security to Web service datasources

Ramesh Reddy commented on TEIID-3035:
-------------------------------------
[~dajester2011] Yes, PATCH uses Async, but I do not think for what you are trying to do it is applicable. i.e. ASYNC model does not expect any immediate response.
What kind of dependency issues are you seeing? typically you would need to add any additional JARs into "modules/system/layers/dv/org/jboss/teiid/resource-adapter/webservice/main" directory and update the module.xml file for missing classes.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-4167) Infinispan dsl translator specific clause in sql query causes NullPointerException
by Van Halbert (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-4167?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Van Halbert commented on TEIID-4167:
------------------------------------
The LIMIT 100 is an issue with how JDG is configured at query execution. In order to change the limit, will need to look into calling: BooleanQuery.setMaxClauseCount(size).
The infinispan-cache translator is configured with a randomly chose setting of 10,000 for the MaxInCriteriaSize.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-4112) ORA-32039: recursive WITH clause must have column alias list
by Johnathon Lee (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-4112?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Johnathon Lee updated TEIID-4112:
---------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 8.7.6.6_2
> ORA-32039: recursive WITH clause must have column alias list
> ------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: TEIID-4112
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-4112
> Project: Teiid
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: JDBC Connector, Query Engine
> Affects Versions: 8.7.2.6_2
> Reporter: Debbie Steigner
> Assignee: Steven Hawkins
> Fix For: 9.0, 8.12.5, 8.7.6.6_2
>
>
> If running a WITH table AS(...) query to Oracle and the query schema name is the same as the subquery name i.e. EWI. you receive the Oracle error:
> ORA-32039: recursive WITH clause must have column alias list
> If you modify the query to
> WITH EWI1 AS ....
> then it works.
> f.ex:
> breaking: WITH tbl AS (
> where tbl = a common table name in the current schema and the common table definition as (...) references a view in that schema. Oracle will complain with this erroneous error.
> work-around: WITH tbl_1 AS(
> where tbl_1 does not exist as a current schema/table name.
