Is this regardless of whether we implement JPA-QL or Apache Lucene
Queries? Or does allowing querying only via JPA API mean that
restrict ourselves to JPA-QL?
For the interface at least, this will be JPA-QL. We could implement
(most of) this using Lucene (see older threads with Emmanuel on the
subject)
