As for when, I think we have a couple of windows here, one is: * Just after releasing 4.2.0.BETA1 * Wait for 4.2.0.Final My preference would be the former, since we will always have ongoing releases whether on trunk (5.0) or 4.2. I am in the process of setting up a mirror of our SVN repo on github so people can familiarise themselves with the process. I'll share this info soon. Yeah I am leaning towards this approach now actually. A git svn clone has been running for the last half hour, maybe 75% done now.
