I've run through the 4.2.x test suite on Fedora 13 with IBM JDK 6 and didn't see
any tests hanging?

Do you see this hanging locally when using the IBM JDK as well?
No I don't have IBM's jvm locally, but if you follow the console on
Hudson while building you see it blocks somewhere, and then timeout
after much time.
