Jim Tyrrell commented on AS7-619:
---------------------------------
In the EAP-UX meeting other thoughts ideas around this were brought up, including
documenting how to map to port 8080 via Apache HTTPD proxy/redirects. The CLI might be a
challenge as it can not do http today. Essentially we have all of this great new
domain/management technology, yet in some users random ports can not be opened so we are
shutting down their ability to take on all of the new great functionality we have created.
Management Port sharing port 8080
---------------------------------
Key: AS7-619
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AS7-619
Project: Application Server 7
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 7.0.0.Beta2
Reporter: Jim Tyrrell
Assignee: Scott Stark
While it is great and there are many good reason to have a management console on a
different port then the standard 8080 web ports, it should be possible to use port 8080 or
equivalent for a management console and another port needing to be open should not be
required, but can be a selectable feature.
