I'll certainly have a look at this, but my GEF knowledge is currently not at the point
that I know directly how I should attack this. It will need some investigation, if
possible at all.
If anyone knows of an example of this with GEF, please direct me to it...

When the mousepointer is in the outer area of a node/state/task/.... but within it's
boundaries, it should be possible to draw a transition. This is makes using the gpd a lot
faster (not switching in the toolbar)
Maybe it should only be in the 'middle areas' of top, bottom, left and right and
not the corners
