[Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - RequestProcessor NoClassDefFoundError at JBoss 4.0.4

I upgraded the code from JBoss 4.0.1 to JBoss 4.0.4. I got the exception below, java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/struts/action/RequestProcessor at org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.getRequestProcessor(ActionServ let.java:819) We uses Struts 1.0. The same ear file works with JBoss 4.0.1. Anyone has a clue? Just wondering.. Is this a common problem or a "this guy doesn't know what the heck he is doing" problem. I'm pretty certain its the later. [EJB 3.0] - Re: Timer event is always handled by a new instance?

This one has managed to bite me a couple of times, and I'm contemplating putting together an MBean to check all the timers on system startup and cancel any timers that look like zombies. I'm having trouble making sense of the EJBTImerService MBeans getTimerService interface - it's looking for an ObjectName parameter, and I'm not certain what's the right parameter to pass in. Is the text ObjectName the bit that follows target= in the listTimers return value? Hey Gavin, we was able to figure out the class loader issue. Basically, we had copied the faces libraries (myfaces-api-1.1.4.jar. myfaces-impl-1.1.4.jar) to the jboss server (in the tomcat jsflibs directory) and we did not include them in our ear. When we copied them back to the ear level and included them there, the problem went away. I bet the class loader at the jboss level was the one loading the faces stuff and it did not have visibility into the application classes and thus it threw this exception. >From your point of view, what is the best practice and why do you think this error happened? [JBoss Portal] - UDP Discarded Messages

Hi All, I am running JBoss 4.0.4 With an all config and EJB3. I deployed the clustered version of portal 2.4 and I keep getting the following messages. I know what the problem is, but I am not too sure what I should do to bind these to different broadcast addresses. Any suggestions would be great. 16:06:19,663 WARN [UDP] discarded message from different group (portal.hibernate). Hi All, I am new bee to JBoss and this is my first post to this forum. I have the following problem, Please help me out. During the process of starting the JBoss server, if Database server is not available or not reachable, the server continuously pools for Database connection (does not even pool for number of attempts) and does not start the server. i want to start the JBoss server even though there is no database server connection. Thats wierd, I did not experience that. Well, I'm almost certain I know exactly what change caused it, but its still wierd that you get it and not me. Just replace the faces-config.xml in the jar with the previous version, and the problem should go away, without causing any new problems (on JSF 1.1).
