Hi, Try changing the port number of 1098 at the following places and run the server: C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\all\conf\jboss-minimal.xml(67) C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\all\conf\jboss-service.xml(240) C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\default\conf\jboss-minimal.xml(67) C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\default\conf\jboss-service.xml(240) C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\minimal\conf\jboss-service.xml(67) Change it to port number which is not used (likely, 1199). I too faced this issue today when i tried to run the JBoss AS 4.0.4. Till friday (6th Oct 06) I could run the server successfully. Today from the first attempt to run the server, i started facing this problem. So tried the alternate, and it worked! [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - Problem configuring service jboss.mq:service

I am running an application on JBOSS 4.0.3 SP1. [Clustering/JBoss] - Caching stateless EJB remote interface for better load-balan

Hi all, JBoss-Cluster FAQ page recommends caching remote interface of stateless EJB for better load-balancing. I'm seeing creating of remote interface for each EJB call seems to load single server without distributing the load to all nodes of a cluster. Couple of questions on caching remote interface. 1) Is it good practise to cache remote interface? Looks like its not violation of EJB spec as spec says there is no couple of remote interface to actual EJB instance in the server. 2) Does cache'd remote interface become stale? Also any information of how this caching of remote interface helps better load-balancing would be very helpful. [JBoss/Spring Integration] - ParentBeanFactory issues...

I tried to create two spring bean factories, with A B (with ParentBeanFactory=(A)) The problem is B gets deployed before A, in which case it can't find A in JNDI since A has not been deployed yet. Any ideas on a solution? [J2EE Design Patterns] - keeping session object in jboss
