[Beginners Corner] - Re: EJB entity with static final field

I'm not sure what you are asking, so if the following doesn't answer your question, please rephrase it. I typically have a class named Constant, and in the class I place a lot of static final fields. Then in my EJB code, I have statements like: MyEjb ejb = (MyEjb)context.lookup(Constant.FOO); Of course, I also often place the static final fields in the EJB itself. Have you checked the jmx-console to see what mbeans are declared in the jboss.j2ee namespace? It would appear that the EJB named CustomerProcess was not deployed. The JMS server talks to the database via JDBC, and c-jdbc basically is a JDBC compliant driver, so that should work. Re: which node writes to the database, clustered JBossMQ uses an HASingleton concept with failover of the JMS server. That is, the JMS server is only running on one node at a time; if that node fails the JMS server is started on another node. All nodes should be configured to work with the same underlying database. Sure were, I didn't notice them cause I had a logging porblem. Anyway, it was a couple of jars I was missing (they're not mentioned at the http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossCacheAndWebLogic page). Anyway, I got it sorted out and it seems to be working now. There are no techinques described there, but anyway, as I wrote in my previous posts I do not want to deploy (create and start) the cache from within an EJB, but I will access it and manipulate it's contents. I was asking about the implication of this since the underlaying implementation might be executing IO instructions/thread management/etc. that are highly unrecomended by the J2EE specification to be done in a context of an EJB container. I ran the Jem installer as you suggested to re-install JBoss-4.0.5.GA. During the installation I chose the ejb3Deployer version but on the packages page I did not find any jmx-security but did find jmx-core (you can not check or uncheck-disabled), jmx-console (I unchecked) and jmx-service-invoker (I unchecked). Then I proceeded to the security login page were I used the default HSQLDB removed the jmx-console from the managed security box but it still wanted a password so I had to enter one. After all was said and done I still have the same exact problem. Is there some way to manually exclude the invoker or MBean that is being used for this? Is there some way to configure the MBean so that the default username and password will work? Thanks for you time with this I dont understand why I am the only with this problem or am I just breaking into a new realm that no one has tried yet.
