That problem is caused by not having the jboss.home variable set in the jboss-build.properties file that lives at the root of the j2eetutorial14 directory. That ServiceImpl thing lives in one of the jars inside of jboss.home/server/client, I'm not sure exactly which one... That should be fine too. If you follow the steps detailed in the previous response to integrate JAAS in your application, you should be able to get a Principal created successfully and a SSO token should be generated and placed on your browser upon succefull JAAS login. Let me know if you still run into issues getting to that step. I've written a simple valve but have a problem I've deployed the jar file containing the class to JBOSS\server\default\deploy\jbossweb-tomcat55.sar and I've added a valve entry in the server.xml However I'm getting the following error 19:01:12,750 ERROR [Digester] Begin event threw exception java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: com.fooco.util.security.valves.UserLoggerValve at org.jboss.mx.loading.LoadMgr3.beginLoadTask(LoadMgr3.java:306) It seems logical to deploy the jar file in the tomcat sar directory... can't think of where else it might need to be. Could it be a question of compiler compatability? I am compiling under JDK 5.0. [JBoss Portal] - Header content injection programatically (with code protecti

Hi everybody, I use JBossPortal 2.4.0 bundled. I have problems to set header content programatically. I need to do it this way as my css is dynamically set for each user. So I tried to use this way I found on this site : rr.addProperty("HEADER_CONTENT", _htmlBuff.toString()) My debugger says me the code is executed and the content is the one I want, <script> ... </script> This code is executed inside a JSP tag from mine, I managed to get a render response inside the tag. But I still have an empty header content :  | | </head> | I also read on this forum that I had to use a tag : <head> | <title><JBoss Portal 2.2 early</title> | <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;" /> | | <p:headerContent /> | | </head> I don't understand why this example includes a header in its html fragment as I did everything to avoid any or tag in the html generated by my portlet ? I thought a good practice was to provide the portal only an HTML fragment, but in examples I see complete HTML pages. What is the good practice ? What is the solution ? TreeCache will replicate the modified key value pairs, not the whole node and definitely not any other nodes. So if you do a put("/a/b/c", "x", "y") an object encapsulating that command is replicated. Putting everything in one node could be faster in a simple test because the shallower your tree, the faster the navigation to the needed node is. But, there could be a heavy price to pay in a multi-threaded system. With READ_COMMITTED or stronger isolation, if one thread is modifying that node, all other threads are blocked waiting to read it. With finer-grained nodes, any lock contention is also more fine grained.
