[JBoss Seam] - newbie doubt about bijection

Hi! I am reading seam manual and I have a doubt concerning the place where insert the @In annotation and its effect. >From the manual I read: anonymous wrote : The @In annotation specifies that a value should be injected, either into an instance variable: | @Name("loginAction") | @Stateless | @Interceptors(SeamInterceptor.class) | public class LoginAction implements Login { | @In User user; | ... | } | or into a setter method: | @In | public void setUser(User user) { | this.user=user; | } In both the cases the effect will be the same? Or in the second case (@In into the method) the injection will be executed only when the method is called? [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Undeploy Exploded EAR Application (Windows specific)

On Windows, when I attempted to undeploy an exploded EAR application, I found that the OS will not let me delete a jar file in the APP-INF/lib directory. The result is that my application will not undeploy cleanly I created a simple ear containing test.war META-INF APP-INF/lib/test.jar I attempted to undeploy it by removing the directory from the ${JBOSS_HOME}/server/${SERVER_NAME}/deploy and I could not delete the entire exploded EAR directory. How do I make sure an EAR can be undeployed cleanly? [JBoss Portal] - Refreshing a portlet's cache

Hello I'm working with Jboss AS 4.0.3sp1 and JBoss portal 2.2. I have a portlet that displays statistical information about our system on the main page of our website. This information is updated in the database automatically each night. My portlet currently caches the statistical data to ensure quick page loads, but I need a way to tell it to drop it's cache. One solution is to use a timestamp and refresh my data when it's a day old. This will lead to one slow page load for some unlucky user. I want to avoid this. Another solution is to use the Scheduler http://jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=96668 but I'm not having much luck. I'm reading about MBeans and Classloaders now, but I'm running out of time. Is there another, easier why to do this? Are there any better examples of how to use the scheduler? (I need to understand why JBoss can't find a classloader for my Schedulable bean.) I came across the same problem this today (error suddenly popped up and not being able to find the solution which I know I found before via search), but thankfully had saved off the problem/resolution in a text file. Here's the magic that worked for me: This means that the Hypersonic database (the internal datastore that handles JMS messages) has become corrupt. To fix this problem, shutdown all @task servers in the cluster and delete the contents of the JBOSS_HOME/server/default/data/hypersonic directory. These files will be recreated once JBoss is restarted. First, did you change the default port from 8080 to 7070? Second, if your war file is named test.war, then the uRL should be http://localhost:7070/test (assuming that you defined a welcome page in web.xml).
