Hi Initally I set it up with a oracle 9i datasource. But since I was getting the same error I decided to let it use the default datasource as I read in a response to the same problem(With Sequel that it worked OK with the default datasource.) [JBoss Seam] - Can I forace a method to be invoked everytime a page is load

Is there a way that I can force a method to be invoked when a particular page is loaded and with no user interaction. The @Create and @Factory annotations only work on the initial creation of the seam component. I can't find any annotations that force this. My hunch is that I need to insert an interceptor into the lifecycle, but I was hoping to avoid this. Any suggestions? Thanks. I think the best way would be to use an MBean to do this. Check out the JBoss docs for MBeans - they are really a great way to do this type of stuff, if I understand your problem correctly. Another option is to create a servlet and set it to load on startup - check the docs for web.xml to see this. Hope that helps! Also, MBeans are allowed to create threads and EJBs aren't supposed to create threads according to the spec. If you want some cool scheduling type of stuff, check into Quartz - it's great. There is also some timer stuff in EJB3, but I haven't done anything with that yet. I'm not 100% sure how it plays with other bytecode-manipulation products, but most of the time there is no problem. A few suggestions: *Use cavaj or another decompiler to make sure that the classes on your classpath have been aopc'ed. * Pass the -verbose flag in to ant to make sure that you don't have both aopc'ed and non aopc'ed classes on your classpath * Try creating a jboss-aop.xml file and pass in -Djboss.aop.path=PATH_TO_XML and see if that makes any difference Are you saying that without the other frameworks involved it works as expected?
