[JBoss Seam] - Re: EntityManager: For newbies or to close gaps in your know

dear bfo81, I got some problems with Entity Manager and still troubleshooting, hope you could help. What i did was to make a sample war file by piecing the seam examples together: 1. First use example/portal and add facelets and tomahawk support 2. Modify to include EJB3 (changing component.xml, persistence.xml, jboss-beans, ejb-jar.xml). I refer example/issues for the EJB3 portion. I encountered problem when retrieving the entitymanager which seems to be null after i compare variable "em" with null. @PersistenceContext(unitName="entityManager") private EntityManager em; I couldn't find whats wrong with those xml files (which is reference from example/issues) I would like to ask if we would deploy EJB3 using WAR file? Hope you could point me in the right direction ... quite tiring to troubleshoot because new to this. My main purpose is to use seam + portlet + facelets + tomahawk + ejb3. Many thanks. [Remoting] - How to unregister a ServerInvoker?

Hello. I'm using remoting shipped in Jboss-4.0.4. I have problems with deployment/undeployment. I deploy an application with remoting, create a Connector and test connectivity with client. After this i change my code, compile and redeploy application and when i try to create a connector i get this exception: org.jboss.remoting.InvalidConfigurationException: The invoker for locator (InvokerLocator [rmi://127.0.0.1:3550/]) is already in use by another Connector. Either change the locator or add new handlers to existing Connector I tried use the already registered invoker but, the application code remains old. So how can i unregister this invoker to be able to create a new Connector? [JBoss jBPM] - calling a JBPM process from other application

Hi, i m a student, and want to know that how to call a JBPM process from my custom web application.. i used starter kit with Eclipse IDE. I followed the process available in demo, this process creates a JBPM.war file (default)..., now i want to create my own web application which calls the process created using JBPM. Thanks for your reply. I've seemed to narrow it down a bit, atleast.. I followed the simple procedure described in the link, with a fresh install but the problem remained. Then I tried with the "all" configuration, and it worked like a charm. So clearly as you stated there is a bug, either in the deployment procedure, or something is missing or incorrect in the "default" configuration to make it work with AOP. I'll try and see if I can narrow it down some more. Will I lose performance and/or get a lot of overhead if I use "all" instead of "default"? The first error seems to be some verbose setting that was changed from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 as described in the "injboss" tut. Doesn't really do anything. [EJB 3.0] - Re: ManyToMany problem

Hi, I figured out that the problem was with the mappedBy in the non owning side of the ManyToMany relationship. What i still do not completely understand is what it maps to, is mappedBy = "students" mapping to the java.util.Set variable ? it can't map to the name because it is not students so does it map to the type of it, or possibly to the getter and setters (get/setStudents) ? If anyone can clear this up for me, i would be thankful. I got Seam to work with MyEclipse 5.0 in combination with Exadel Studio. Works perfect for me. I used the JBoss 4.04 GA jems installer and used the portal setting. I added the EJB3 libraries myself. I did this to also be able to test the integration with a portal. [EJB 3.0] - Re: My collection is not initializing; due to inheritance?

I'm even more confused. I put in a check to see what class the List was after the object was fetched. That should be some kind of proxy class, internal to EJB etc. Instead it's a plain old LinkedList. EJB isn't even trying to set a proxy or do anything with that. So I'm not sure how to handle one-to-many relationships within my application. If EJB can save them, but not load them, that doesn't help me very much. At least Hibernate was able to both save and load them.
