Hi, I do have to parse and serialize XML in a JBoss application. As I already used Xerces a long time ago I was thinking of using again. When I do a search on "JBoss Xerces" I see many complaints of people struggling with integrating Xerces in JBoss. Are these Xerces configuration problems solved? Should I use another package to do my XML parsing and serialization? This isn't working because 10.299.99.99 isn't a valid ip address. The sections cannot be greater than 255. To find the correct ip address, use (I think) ifconfig on linux or ipconfig on windows. [JBoss Eclipse IDE (users)] - EJB 3.0 project with Eclipse IDE 2.0.0 beta 2

Hi, I am just trying to start EJB 3.0 project with Eclipse IDE 2.0.0 I am having some questions like: 1. What is the benefit of creating EJB 3.0 Project (File->New->Other ...) 2. I am able to register JBoss 4.0.5 AS (JEMS Installer) with Eclipse IDE and to start it, but when I try to debug a project it even does not appear in the dialog. Is this some known issue? 3. It is good that there are wizards for session and MD beans. Also Hibernate tools are working fine for Entity beans and JPA. What other goodies are there for EJB 3.0? 4. Is there some tutorial, regarding EJB 3.0 and Eclipse IDE available, i.e. * how to start and EJB 3 project * how make a simple Hello World using Eclipse IDE * etc. Thanks! For me - the disconnect is the instantiate or create concept - since I am typically asking the container to provide a reference to a bean looked up via JNDI, I don't consider my application to be instantiating or creating session beans; I thought the container takes care of creation / instantiation automatically - thus, again, I don't consider my client code which uses an EJB to ever actually create the bean. I apparently incorrectly assumed that just asking Seam to @In one session bean into another would work - it did not occur to me that I would have to ask Seam to 'create' a bean (which it really isn't doing, right? - Seam itself is '[taking a cue] to look up the component (EJB) from JNDI ' when create=true AND there is no matching reference to the desired session bean available in any of the scopes). Rather than 'create' this concept to me is still more like 'lookup' and so anonymous wrote : | @In(create=true) | | Specifies that a component attribute is to be injected from a context variable at the beginning of each component invocation. If the context variable is null, an instance of the component is instantiated by Seam. | still doesn't express what's happening in terms that seem to me to be 'correct' - that's my issue.
