Hi all, I have encountered a similar problem on Ubuntu Edgy. I have a web app that listens for browser connections on port 8345. But apparently, it is binding to the loopback interface because I can only connect via "localhost" on the same machine. I have tried specifying -Djboss.bind.address=<my_ip_address> at startup, but it does not seem to have any effect. And even if it did work, I need a solution that is DHCP-friendly because this is a development workstation. Any ideas? For what it's worth, I'm running JBoss under Eclipse/JBoss-IDE, so I am specifying the jboss.bind.address as a VM argument in the launch configuration. I'm passing in other arguments there, too, so I know this technique works with other system properties. Also, I'm not running as root, if that makes any difference. Help would be greatly appreciated! After exchanging some emails with Jacek and fine-tuning the test to accuratelly recreate the problem, I've found and fixed this. The fix is in 1.4.1.GA and 2.0.0.ALPHA2, details of the solution are documented on JBCACHE-923. Updated unit tests are in CVS. [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - Redelivery caused by System.exit()? urgent!!!!

Hi, When our program receives a JMS message which instructs it to shut down, it calls System.exit(0). It works well with another application server. When we try to migrate to JBoss, we found that JMS message will not be consumed, which means the program does receive the message and exit but when it restarts, that JMS message will be redelievered and cause it to exit again and therefor an infinite loop. We use non-transactional messaging and auto acknolowledge: QueueSession qSession = qCon.createQueueSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE); Can anyone kindly help? many thanks! So I suppose it's best then that the POJO's constructor doesn't do anything. Any required initialization should go in a method annotated with @Create, since Seam will call this method after it instantiates and injects the object. [JBoss Portal] - Error from JSF app deployed as portlet

I have a working two-page JSF application which I'm trying to deploy as a portlet. The various XML files are built and being deployed, the new tab shows up when /portal/ is accessed. I have to tweak security a bit, but otherwise, the portlet seems to be auto-configuring correctly. The first page is a user login page only. The second page is where the inquiry is done. The top of the page has fields and a search and cancel buttons. If records are found, the form is repainted and the first 10 records (paged, up to a 100) are shown below the form. I've tried debugging to the first line of the method that is supposed be being called, but it is never invoked. The error seems to be coming from the JSF libraries. There is an obvious need to put something in BIG BOLD LETTERS in the installation notes or wiki or whatever since people seem to still make this mistake. This has been documented in the forums numerous times, but its not all that easy to find. You can't run JBoss IDE 1.6 on Eclipse 3.2 - must install the 2.0 beta.
