Which Seam version? There were some deproxying problems at some point I think (fixed in 2.0.0.CR1). My advice is to grab the latest CR, give it a go and come back if you are still having problems. I would use nested dataTables in this case (or perhaps a ui:repeat or something as nesting tables can look odd). seamdiscs example has iterated lists inside a dataTable. I couldn't even get the seam-gen generated skeleton tests to work. I also tried a simple logintest which was avery slight modification of the example in the reference PDF. I don't understand how to use the dataTable with multiple entity beans. say for instance, a Customer entity and a creditcard entity (1:m relationship). would it be a single dataTable? it doesn't seem that would work that way...
