[JBossWS] - Serialized object in web service

Hi, Is it possible to use user defined objects(serialized) in java web service between client & server? I have created an object(shared between client & server) in server & returned to client. But I am not able to get the actual values in the client. When I try to get the values from the returned object, it is not showing its attributes. It compiles without error. Please let me know if you have any idea. [JBoss Tools (users)] - IDE error: Only component class can have @Destroy method

I have a class named Foo annotated as seam component (@Name), and a destroy() method annotated with @Remove @Destroy. till here all is fine When declaring an inner class FooInner within class Foo, suddenly an IDE error will appear in the Problems view saying: Only component class can have @Destroy method "destroy" I found a workaround for that at http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-1295 which seems to be already resolved, the workaround is to set Warning/Ignore for Preferences/JBoss Tools/Web/Seam/Validator/Component life-cycle methods It would be nice if this similar issue will be resolved as well View the original post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=4107258#4107258 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=4107258

You can do that by using no cache loader at all. To preload values, just manually get them from the DB and put them in the cache. To persist changes, use a cache listener. [JBoss Seam] - Re: Directory deployment problem (glassfish & netbeans)

I stumbled into the same problem. The following did the trick (at least in my environment): In NetBeans IDE 6.0 RC 1: 1. select top-level menu "Tools" -> "Servers" 2. select the "Glassfish" server and the "Options" tab 3. uncheck the "Directory Deployment Enabled" option The "Help Information" for this option says: "Directory Deployment Enabled. When selected, web, EJB and EAR projects are deployed to the server from the build directory. This can reduce deployment time. This option is selected by default." It seams that Glassfish somehow get's confused with jboss-seam.jar if loaded from the build directory.
