So I presume you take the cofig file (edit it as per your settings, including providing the jboss.cache:service=PojoCache bit) and then placing the config file in your server/all/deploy directory? Do you see any other errors come up, when the AS attempts to instantiate and deploy the cache? If not, can you see the cache in the jmx-console? Read http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/faq/je_faq.html#1 before you think about BDBJE on NFS! :-) It may just be that BDBJE in a shared environment may not work due to the way the BDBJE engine implements locks. Have you tried JDBM instead of BDBJE? [JBoss Seam] - Long running batch job in Seam 1.2.1

I have a Seam component that will receive a large amount of incoming data, process it and insert or update the database. The method that gets called once the file has been posted (using s:fileUpload) is annotated @Asynchronous, so it will be executed in its own thread and context. The entire file must be processed in one single transaction, it cannot be splitted in several smaller transactions in any way. Also, I do require transaction-support since it must be possible to roll back all changes if a part of the file cannot be processed. Now, this data import may take a quite a long time. Usually several hours. Currently the transaction times out, which I guess can be solved using the @TransationTimeout-value. But is this really the best way to solve this? Should I use jBPM instead and how would I do then? Or is there any other method for solving this? [JBoss Seam] - Having more than one Seam EntityManager

Hi, I know it is possible to have a Seam managed EntityManager. However it is not possible to set the persistence context for it using the usual JPA annotation. Instead, the persistence unit is set in the the Seam components XML file. This is all fine if you only have one persistence-unit, what happens if there is more than one persistence unit and you require some of POJO's to use one EntityManager with one specific persistence unit and some of your other POJOs to use another EntityManager talking to another persistence unit? Can this be done? [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - Controlling classpath order \Applying a patch to deployed ap

Hi, I have an application deployed to jboss (e.g ear) which uses external jars placed in lib and lib\ext directories (configured throug classpath element in the jboss-service.xml). I would like to apply a patch jar. This jar contains modified version of some of the classes from the application ear or from the jars the application is using. I would like to configure jboss to use classes from the patch jar in precedence to same classes in the ear or external jar files. Is there a way to do this? How can I control the classpath order for jars used by the application. Handling exceptions from JBPM via Seam exception handling should work. If it isn't please create a JIRA issue and attach an example of the problem with reproduction instructions.
