[JBoss Seam] - Usage of @Restrict annotation with method parameters

Hi, I'm investigating Seam and WebBeans authorization aspects. I've a simple question witch answer is not in the Seam reference guide. In the Seam v2 reference guide, http://docs.jboss.com/seam/2.0.0.GA/reference/en/html/security.html#d0e7113 The following example is given: | @Name("account") | public class AccountAction { | @In Account selectedAccount; | @Restrict("#{s:hasPermission('account','modify',selectedAccount)}") | public void modify() { | selectedAccount.modify(); | } | } | The interesting part of this is the use of "selectedAccount" attribute injected by seam. My question is: is it possible to use a method parameter instead of an attribute ? Something like this: | @Name("account") | public class AccountService { | @Restrict("#{s:hasPermission('account','modify',selectedAccount)}") | public void modifyAccount(Account selectedAccount) { | selectedAccount.modify(); | } | } | Thank you. [JBoss Messaging] - JGroups->MDB

Hi - This seems to be the most related forum for the problem at hand so here it goes.. I have a device that broadcasts UDP datagrams. I am able to receive those datagrams using the JGroups org.jgroups.tests.McastReceiverTest example. What I want is to integrate McastReceiverTest /JGroups with JBoss so that I can receive the incoming datagrams as JMS messages and handle them with a Message Driven Bean (seam). So the question is if I do this with JBoss + some kind of xxx-service.xml file? (Example?) Any input is appreciated, thanks. We are seeing this aswell. This particular problem also has one big implication: Since seam uses its own entity manager, and this affects caching etc, we have decided to use the seam managed entity manager in all DAO:s. Therefore, it is critical that seam is initialized before any component of the application is triggered. It seems like seam dependencies spread just like const-correctness :D Is there any other solution then to wait for seam to initialize in onMessage? The whole deploy from the IDE process seems very brittle. I took the websale example, it worked and deployed fine, then I added a node to the diagram without any transitions to the existing process, and I get the same deployment error. Then I removed the node, and it still wouldn't deploy. Then I used local history to revert to the process from before I started monkeying with it, and it still won't deploy. Sometimes, deleting the gpd.xml and forcing it to regenerate seems to help, but only sometimes. What I wanted to do was to start with the example, make a small change, make sure it still works, and continue, but the smallest change, even after it's undone, breaks the deployment process. jboss 4.2.1 seam 2.0.0.ga gwt 1.4.60 jdk6 Still can not seem to find a way to get a DTO to work with Seam-GWT remoting. Using the components.xml approach to avoid annotations on the DTO side, and the problem I'm getting from the GWT service call is: java.lang.ClassCastException from | instance.gwtTestDto(new AsyncCallback(){ | | public void onFailure(Throwable caught) { | root.add(new Label("gwtTestDto had a failure: " + caught + " === " + caught.fillInStackTrace() + " ==== " + GWT.getTypeName(caught) )); | | } | Everything else seems to look o.k., org.jboss.seam DEBUG does not show anything, no errors are displayed in the server log (both console and file).
