[Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - Retrieving the relationship between tables using JDBC

Hi, I'm researching something that I intend to use in my "work of conclusion's course" but I'm having some difficulties on retrieve the relationship between tables using JDBC... I've got almost all information that I need using DatabaseMetaData and ResultSetMetaData classes, but nothing about the relationship yet... =/ Does anyone knows how to do something like that ? Pete, I have exactly same problem. In the case action A render page a, from page a call an method of action B: A -> a -> B A and B share the same page scope next we do the same thing: B -> b -> C B and C share the same page scope So, if we declare page scope field with @in @out in A, B, C, we can pass data from A -> B -> C by using page scope is that right? The problem is that in flow A -> a -> B -> b -> C, page context is destroy if after invoking B, page flow is redirected to page b. (Page context still "alive" if render) The difference is render(OK) and redirect(fail). Any help would be appreciated. I set up a long running conversation as suggested in the FAQ. But I don't understand: still having the same validation error. I verified (running debug.seam) that, in the Conversation Context, I have: AutorizzatiFoManager.autorizzati (the original element list) and AutorizzatiFoManager.selezionati (the list of selected items) in autorizzati I have, for example, this list: 0 org.jboss.seam.example.registration.Fornitore@dddee8 1 org.jboss.seam.example.registration.Fornitore@556e82 2 org.jboss.seam.example.registration.Fornitore@ca5165 3 org.jboss.seam.example.registration.Fornitore@a5d3d5 I verified that autorizzati remains the same after calling the bean methods and re-calling the page or posting the item selection. (I mean that also the object id (the xxxxx id in ....Fornitore@xxxxx) remains the same, while it didn't happen when the scope of AutorizzatiFoManager was not the conversation) so the original list do NOT change now. I tried to assign selezionati=autorizzati just in the Factory method of AutorizzatiFoManager. So when i call the page I correctly see that all checkboxes are checked, since all elements of original list autorizzati is in the selected list selezionati(so the 'output' of selezionati works). But if I confirm (checking at least one item), then I get the validation error (if I check none it works correctly, since the selectedItems value is null and isn't converted, I suppose). Maybe I made a mistake in .xml files (I posted in this thread) ? Is it possible to verify that the converter is correctly called? how can I find the values that are trying to be assigned to selezionati but are not validated? Thanks for your help. Thanks DragosPD for the pointer. I will try with MyFaces implementation sometime next week. Any other alternatives? Known solution or workaround? [JBoss Tools (users)] - eclipse plugin cant find a running server

hi, i installed the Jboss Tools (not sure which version it is but the eclipse cant find any new updates for it so i guess that it's up to date). i also have a JBoss AS 4.2.2 running as a windows service on port 8080. i want to use this instance of the server when i use the eclipse but when i look in the servers tab it says that the server is stopped. if i try to run/debug it i get this error: "Server port In Use 8080-Http". how can i make the eclipse (with the JBoss Tools plugin) be aware of the running server? thanks, nitzan. Well we know that Tibco General Interface and some products around are now BSD licenced and Bindows developer licence is 195$. I think it would hard to ask more or better :) Ok regarding the price, most of us can forget jackbe and backbase :) Whatever, now that BindowsFaces is becoming available for JSF and as a newcomer to java and so seam, i would like to know if it would be difficult to make use of BindowsFaces with Seam as we use Richfaces with Seam. What do you think of ? Those examples are very interesting, However, in my case, I'm not using GWT's RCP mechanism but simply JSON over HTTP. So, let's say, I have a Controller Servlet handling request and calling different session bean depending on the content of the message. there is where I don't know how to integrate Seam in the business.
