Hello, I'd like to know if the seam development team is planning on some XLS generation functionalities. 'A la' Seam Pdf generation (i.e. via POI or JExcell or sthing other) perhaps ? Define better? Hibernate queries are used anyway, either implemented by 'us' in the context or by you externally. [JBoss Seam] - MultipartRequest NPE if no file is selected in s:uploadFile

If no file is selected in a form with an s:uploadFile component, I get an NPE - new FileInputStream(null). [JNDI/Naming/Network] - Problem with JNDI/lookup

Hello, I´m learning EJB3 form Mastering EJB3 book. I wrote the session bean, deploy it on JBoss, which says me that JNDI name is "CounterBean". When coding the client there are these lines: //gaining initial context - is OK //and now the critical line: Counter counter = (Counter) ctx.lookup("CounterBean"); this lines causes ClassCastException: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext I don´t understand when it is necessary to use the call with PortableRemoteObject.narrow() and when the lookup returns the instance. In bean class, there is annotation @Remote(Counter.class) so I suppose it is remote object. I also tried this name: "CounterBean/remote" but I got this exception: java.lang.NoclassDefFoundError: org/jboss/util/thread/ThreadPool Can anyone help me with running this simple but also tough example? :) I would also like to know which jar files I need to add to project (Netbeans) e.g. jbossall-client.jar ... I have seen various variation with @Asyncronous or Ejb3TimerService but I don't know what's the right for me to run from startup and check expiration date every day to send an email. The send email is not the problem only schedule the service. I hope for help. You know that Trinidad does most of this for you right? (but if you want to customise what it looks like...) - it flags invalid fields with a cross, and puts the error message underneath.
