My guess of what's happening here is that when I first access the myEntity factory to return the instance, "myQuery.dataModel.rowData" automatically selects the first entity in the dataModel. This isn't the correct behavior right? Isn't a dataModel only supposed to be populated when the a row is actually selected, or does it always have a default selected value upon access? I have no idea how to proceed from this... Thats what i thought We had issue where conn.close was throwing null pointer exception. I know getConnection (our method which gets Connection from datasource) is returning the Connection object because before it returns connection object, it does conn.setAutoCommit(true). The caller method of getConnection uses the connection where it does conn.createStatement and stmt.executeQuery. In finally block we have conn.close(). The conn.close was throwing null pointer exception. This was not making sense because we were getting valid connection object since conn.setAutoCommit and conn.createStatement was not throwing null pointer which were done before conn.close. This started happening when query was taking long time to execute and got fixed when query started working normally. Any insights. Async methods are processed in their own conversation context (this is to ensure that conversations are always single-threaded). Try passing the stuff you need as parameters to the async method. Return "null", not "Outcome.REDISPLAY" if you are using current CVS. Outcome.REDISPLAY is only meant for use inside annotations, and the old OutcomeInterceptor was recently removed, to help reduce stacktraces and increade performance. [EJB/JBoss] - Accessing JBoss thread pool from inside my code

Hi, I need to perfrom some parallel operations inside my JBoss ASr following user request from the GUI. In a standalone application i will probaly use J2SE thread pool for perfroming this operations using multiple threads. What is the best way to do it inside JBoss AS ? I read its not recommended to create personal threads inside AS. Can i access the JBoss thread pool in order to use its threads ? Can i create J2SE Thread pool iniside the Jboss AS for doing that operations?
