You can either end the conversation if you like for or you can later come back to this conversation. [JBoss Seam] - Question about conversations

I am little confused about conversations. I have a number of instances where I wanted to start a conversation and end it either when 1. the task is completed 2. the user navigates away from the page(s) that comprise the conversation. But reading the manual it looks like I can leave the conversation open in 2 which will get picked back up when the user navigates back to that page. Is this true? If so, how does the coversationId get picked up again? If not, I haven't found a good way to end a conversation when a user navigates away from a page (which would seem like a necessary feature). [JBoss Portal] - Forums and Wiki Portlets

Hi, I am trying to deploy the Wiki portlet (jbosswiki-beta2-2.4) in my JBoss AS 4.0.5GA that has Portal Server 2.4.1 in it. While deploying I get the below error, java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/wiki/WikiSession Is there a Forums portlet compatible with Portal server version 2.4.1 ? To add a bit more clarification after working on this some more, I can't get it to work with any previous Seam builds either. It also will not populate the table after a refresh, but will populate it if I call an action that either returns null or has a void return type. I had this working at one point and it's a simple concept. Am I missing something simple? Having played a bit with the security API I assume the answer on 1. & 2. is Yes - please correct me if I'm wrong. Is the answer: If they don't belong to the same activation group the rules engine would evaluate the remaining rules (after it found a match) although they obviously would evaluate to false - so you put them in the same activation-group to ensure it doesn't waste its time ? Thanks for your suggestions. I hadn't thought about setting up a queue purely for logging, but that lead me to another solution. I ended creating a session bean for logging and configuring it for CMT with transaction attribute RequiresNew on all of its methods. I then looked up the session bean from my MDB and invoked the logging methods. Using the session bean allows me to serialize the logging calls so that I know immediately whether they succeeded (and aren't lost on some queue somewhere). It's a little kludgy but it seems to work.
