I agree that having to restrict your Fqn components based on how you persist your data is a bit poor, but this is a restriction necessary because of how certain persistence mechanisms work. [JBossCache] - Should Fqns only contain String elements?

Quick poll - from JBoss Cache 2.x onwards, should Fqns only be allowed to contain String elements? For a number of Cache Loaders, we mandate that only Strings are allowed in Fqns, the question is should this be mandated anyway? How would this affect peoples' use cases? We can't put untested configs into a distro, unless we clearly mark them as "untested" - use at your own peril.. Hello Shane, i am using WXP SP2 with the newest patches JDK 1.5.0_10 Eclipse 3.2.1 Exadel pro 4.0.3 Jboss AS installed with jems-installer-1.2.0.GA.jar (EJB3 profile) seam 1.1.6GA (using the delivered facelets, myfaces and hibernate jars) BTW: This is the test plattform for our new projects. The current project does not use EJB3. I am using hibernate in the microcontainer in Tomcat. NOTE: When building the example there are three states of the result. 1. The ear is about 25MB When deplying it is complaing about a duplicate datasource. When removing seamspace-ds.xml from the server it gives the shown exception. 2. The ear is about 4MB in size and does not even deploy 3. The correct result. An ear of ca 4,2MB in size and a seamspace-ds.xml I have no clue why this happens. Chances of a DB2 configuration making into release will improva a lot if the whoever makes the request is also willing to contribute time to fix/test the configuration. Well.. we don't currently support DB2. The config has not been tested like the other configs. If it hasn't been tested and on our roadmap, then, yes sure it's nice to have, but not something that can be in an official release, since we don't know if it works, or there are major problems that will prevent it from working. I am currently testing the configs for 1.2. If someone has a request for DB2 then I will *try* and fit it in, although time is short. Otherwise a feature request should be added in JIRA and we will get around to it.
