That is so weird. Personalizerecursive is supposed to be a superset of viewrecursive. Yet, in 2.4.1, on the Management page, I can change the security for the Admin page as you have indicated and see the Admin tab disappear. Try this. In the jboss-portal.sar/conf/data/default-object.xml file, replicate the entire description for the Admin page and name it something else, e.g., NewAdmin. Also, change the if-exists setting at the very start of the file to 'overwrite'. Then when you start up, log in as admin and you should have a NewAdmin tab. From there you can fix the security on the Admin tab, and finally get rid of the NewAdmin tab. Remember to reset the default-object.xml file back to the original. [JBoss Seam] - User Experiences with IceFaces & How important are component

I have been creating a app using Seam and IceFaces and through great support here and in the IceFaces forum I have managed to get through a lot of bugs. The argument for Seam is compelling. The argument for Seam is even more compelling once the work that Gavin/Micheal and the team are doing with Spring comes to fruition. I can't help feeling that the IceFaces components make Seam even more compelling. Tapestry has enjoyed a significant following due to the lovely suite of components and even Mirco$oft have just released a suite of Ajax components that really work well. I was wondering how important other developers feel that the IceFaces components are to Seam? I have to be honest and say that I am still having enough problems with the IceFaces components when interacting with Seam to mean that I could not consider releasing the work yet and I continue in the hope that the Seam/Icefaces synergy comes "right". I would love your thoughts... was going IceFaces a mistake? is sorting out the IceFaces-Seam interface on the roadmap? Yep; that's it. If you're never going to deploy any distributable webapps and want to remove the service that makes session replication possible, you can remove the tc5-cluster.sar and comment out the <depends>jboss.cache:service=TomcatClusteringCache</depends> tag in jbossweb-tomcat55.sar/META-INF/jboss-service.xml. See http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossASTuningSliming for more on removing unwanted services; clustering stuff covered at the bottom. But again, if web.xml doesn't have the distributable tag, that webapp won't use session replication.
