In 3.2 a businesskey can be added to the processinstance. So you can do it both ways. Add add the processinstance id (and maybe tokens if there is some forking) as a fk to your domain model or the other way around. Both work. I would only add a status to the domain if it is independent of the processes. e.g. getting a mortgage is a process (status: under request). [JBossCache] - Explicit locking?

I'm using Jboss Cache 1.4.1 SP3 (TreeCache). Is there a way to lock a node explicitly? I want to have a process that contains the cache, and other processes connect to it and perform operations. One desired operation would be "get and lock", and another one would be "update and release". I saw that the cache does internal locking (with transactions), but I don't know how to handle that in the situation described above. Which process begins and commits the transaction, and how can they work together? I also found "acquire" and "release" methods in the Node class, but they seem to be undocumented, they're just "not to be exposed", whatever that means o_O The acquire methods have a timeout parameter, but I'm not sure what it means. Is it the time to wait trying to acquire the lock? Or the maximum time to hold the lock? If it's the former, then how can I release locks automatically after a timeout period? [Security & JAAS/JBoss] - Support for Authorization Modules

>From the jbosssx project, I found what I need to create is a module like the ones under org.jboss.security.authorization.modules & org.jboss.security.authorization.modules.web/ejb However, I did not find this package under JBoss Application Server version 4.0.5 GA 's jbosssx.jar Is the roadmap for supporting these authorization modules just for JBoss AS 5.x only? or is there a plan to support it with 4.0.x ? or it is already supported with 4.0.5 ? I have a POJO that has relationships with other POJOs. The relationships are marked for eager fetch-ing. For some of the use cases, i want to turn OFF the eager fetch. So I tried using native SQL with automatic resultset mapping. This still results in the eager fetching of relationships. session.createSQLQuery("select * from Organization").addEntity(Organization.class).list() ;//get me only org data --> This causes the relationships to be fetched as well. How can i turn it off.? I tried using the Criteria API as well - Criteria setFetchMode(String associationPath, FetchMode mode) This doesn't turn OFF eager fetch either. what should be the FetchMode to turn of EAGER fetch? FetchMode.EAGER is deprecated. It recommends use of FetchMode.SELECT which actually gets the data in a separate SQL! Now that is not what i require. I want to turn it off. Hi Tim, Thanks for the response, the Scheduled Delivery Test came in useful. However, i am still having problems setting the DLQ and RedeliveryDelay. >From the examples you pointed me too, seem to work but this is by setting these values via the code. When i try to create a queue in the destinations-service.xml, they dont seem to work. Is there something else i should be setting somewhere in a config file to use these values or somewhere in the code to enable these to be used. Just to fill you in on what i am doing, is that i have an MDB reading messages off a queue, if an exception is thrown i am leaving the JBoss container to deal with the rollback, i am not specifically stating rollback as i do not need to use an XA transaction.
