JBM has no dependencies on IIOP or vice versa, so getting it to run in a configuration called "messaging" should be no different to getting it to run in any other configuration. What you describe sounds fine. If a bean is colocated in the same VM as the client, JBoss will detect this and will always route the call to the local bean even if the bean is clustered. So, for an SLSB that will always be deployed with its client, marking it as clustered doesn't really do anything for you. [EJB 3.0] - Catching exceptions in a session facade using JSF?

I am using a stateless session bean facade, calling from a JSF managed bean. How or where should I catch database exceptions? Should they be caught in the session bean? or should they be caught at the calling method? For example a addObject method within the managed bean. [Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - Datasource with JBoss and Hibernate

Hi, am trying to configure an oracle datasource with JBoss. I have copied the oracle-ds.xml file from the docs/examples/jca directory and entered my connection url, user and password. I placed the file in the deploy directory. JBossTS (Arjuna) does not support two local datasources used in the context of a global transaction. Verify that the datasources being used are XA datasources and not local.
