I am interested in solving this problem as well - I have worked on this for the last 1.5 days, and searched the forums for a solution, but can't find any? Has anyone been able to get a REMOTE EJB3 client working with jboss? If so please explain the steps... If I include my jar file that has the EJBs in my client's classpath, I get class cast exceptions. If I dont' then I get rmi security exceptions ("no security manager: RMI class loader disabled") - If someone knows how to get past the security problem, that would be great to know.. Thanks! Hi, no for me it's the same, I putter the <a:form>...</a:form> out of all and it give to me the same error... another issue I found: I have <rich:tabPanel switchType="ajax" ... If I click 2 or more time to a tab to switch the tab panel it give me the same error... So I think that the problem is related to multiple ajax requests... [JBoss Seam] - Using JSF + POJO + EntityBean design

Anybody tried or recommend using JSF (presentation) + POJO (business layer) + EntityBean (persistence) design in a Seam app? Is this possible to do if you don't need/want the additional services that the EJB container provides (i.e. no session beans or MDB's)? Any examples I can look at? thx. I understood your point. But I have more than one page with cms content in it. For example news and documentation. The link in each page should open in their respective cms windows. How is this possible with the simpler fix that you mentioned. [EJB/JBoss] - EJB initialization

Hello, We have a stateless session bean that encapsulates a job scheduler, with a web service interface to add/remove jobs. There must be only one instance of the job scheduler running in JBoss at any one time. 1. How can we get the bean to initialize when JBoss starts up? Even if we make the scheduler a static variable, it only constructs when the bean is first accessed by a web service client. 2. Does JBoss ever use multiple JVMs to run its EJBs? If it does, we cannot make the scheduler a static variable because it may have multiple instances within JBoss. What should we do in that case? nidhi- after looking through the thread looks like you are not missing any thing. what is happenig is your /news/NewsHeadlines.html is being displayed properly on the designated page in the portal. However, when you click /news/NewDetails.html, is falling into the "default" page of the 'default" portal. Its kind of similar to doing http://localhost:8080/portal/content/news/NewsDetails.html. What you need to do is map /news to go to your designated page using the CommandMapping Framework similar to the way /content is mapped. This is not trivial. A simpler fix would be to use the "default" page of the "default" portal. Set that page up exactly the way your News page is setup, and access like this: /content/news/NewsHeadline.html which will keep you on the same window.
