[JBoss Messaging] - jboss-messaging-1.4.0.CR3 and jboss-remoting-2.2.2.SP1
by LeifOO
Hello,
This is my first visit to this forum so maybe this question has already been answered.
I have installed jboss-4.2.1.GA and jboss-messaging-1.4.0.CR3 as described in the JBoss Messaging User Guide. Also downloaded the jboss-remoting 2.2.2.SP1 and copied it to messaging/lib.
The server starts succesfully, but when I try to run the Installation Validation in section 4.3 of the JBoss Messaging User Guide I get the following server error:
ERROR [BisocketServerInvoker] received new control socket for unrecognized listenerId: 5c4o11h-r3h3ys-f6z135fe-1-f6z135rz-7
After this the server hangs (can not be terminated with CtrlC).
The client outputs the following warning:
WARN @Timer-1 [BisocketServerInvoker] org.jboss.remoting.transport.bisocket.BisocketServerInvoker$ControlMonitorTimerTask@157b46f: detected failure on con
If I roll back to the original jboss-remoting.jar everything seems to work fine, the section 4.3 example runs as described in the User Guide.
Have I made som mistakes during the installation since the jboss-remoting-2.2.2.SP1 does not work for me?
Thanks in advance
Leif Olsen
My environment:
WinXP
jdk1.6.0
jboss-4.2.1.GA
jboss-messaging-1.4.0.CR3
jboss-remoting 2.2.2.SP1

[JBoss Seam] - Re: how to force ajax region refresh
by nayanj
anonymous wrote : Is your action getting hit when you tick the checkbox?
Yes. The action gets hit and updates the "selected" property of "item" in the entire subtree.
I have tried s:div and a:outputPanel, the output does not change. Only way I have been able
to update the subtree is doing a page refresh (which also confirms action was hit).

Following is the log. There seems to be an error which makes no sense to me.

[JBoss jBPM] - write a web service to invoke a process
by andydel
Hello all
I'm new to Jboss and JBPM and am evaluating it for my company. I have set some simple processes up and am fairly happy with that but what I would really like to do is have my process called via a web service. I can't see how to write a web service that will invoke the process.
For clarity the first process I would like to write is related to staff take on. When our HRsystem comes across a certain event (new member of staff contract agreed) I want it to invoke a web service with the required information which will then pass this information to a process and kick off the process.
I presume that is possible but not sure where to start, could anyone point me in the right direction - perhaps a tutorial is available?
Many thanks
Andy Delaney

[EJB 3.0] - Clustered MDB configuration / JNDI problem
by ejb3workshop
I am trying to deply an EJB3 MDB into a cluster of 2 nodes. Running the bean on a single VM works well without any problems, however I am not able to bring the second VM online. During the startup the following error is reported :

on the second node. It is always the second node started. The first one alwasy succeeds. I found that the JNDI context on the second node is much smaller then the context on the first one. The Destination Manager as well as most standard Queues aren't listed on the JMX-console.
I tried to configure the queue deploying this services file into the all/farm folder:
| <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
| <server>
| <mbean code="org.jboss.mq.server.jmx.Queue"
| name="jboss.mq.destination:service=Queue,name=BatchJobProcessorMDB">

| <attribute name="JNDIName">queue/OutputProcessors</attribute>
| <depends optional-attribute-name="DestinationManager">jboss.mq:service=DestinationManager</depends>
| </mbean>
| </server>
|
If you have any suggestion on how I can get MDB working in a JBoss cluster and how I can fix the JNDI issue please let me know
Thanks in advance
Alex
