I couldn't make Seam work in an existing project with Facelets (no JSP), backing beans (no Spring, no EJB) and the Eclipse plugin (no seam-gen). My aim was not to start from scratch but to convert an existing application. Apparently nobody else tried that. Well, I'll look again into version 3. [JBoss Seam] - h:commandButton not working on RichFaces tab

Hi, I just migrated my application to Seam 2.0 CR1 from 1.2.1.GA. However after the change i realise that all my h:commandButtons on RichFaces tabs do not work when i click them. Changing to s:button works, i want to submit the whole form. Here's a bit of the page | <rich:tabPanel id="servicesTabPanel" selectedTab="#{navigation.servTab}"> | <rich:tab name="fairs" id="fairs" label="Fairs" > | <h:form> | <br/> | <h:messages globalOnly="true"/> | <h:outputText value="No fairs to display" rendered="#{fairs.rowCount==0}"/> | <fieldset> | <h:commandLink value="New fair" action="#{fairManager.createObject}"/> | </fieldset> | ... | </h:form> | </rich:tab> | </rich:tabPanel> | Clicking the commandButton here only causes the page to redisplay, though it worked alright in v 1.2.1.GA. I tried for serveral time, it report connectiong errors when I change the test database to MySQL. What I did is copy the persistence-dev.xml and edit it for a little. However, it seems does not work correctly. can you provide more details about how to do this? or suggest an example? [Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - Fetch Type Eager But Objets not retrieved

Hi All guys I hope this is not so newbie question, I was an EJB2 developer in the past, and I made the switch to EJB3 with Hibernate, I have an entity defined like this: | @Entity | @Table(name="USER") | public class User implements Serializable { | | private Long id; | private String full_name; | private String username; | private Level level; | | [...] | | @OneToOne(fetch=FetchType.EAGER,cascade=CascadeType.MERGE) | public Level getLevel() { | return level; | } | public void setLevel(Level level) { | this.level = level; | } | | "Level" is another entity, and a table One to One relation at Database. The problem is that when I retrieve one "User" from the DB the "level" object is not being populated (it is null), even that I set the Fetch Type to Eager. What am I missing?
