No, I didn't have such things. It's just the hibernate2 example from the distribution, and it complains for <persistence:hibernate-session-factory ...> but not for <core:manager ...> or <security:identity ...>. Of course I filtered out the validation messages :) as it seems to work otherwise, but it's still puzzling me. If it is okay to copy the state of the given object onto the persistent object with the same identifier, the following will do the trick: | ... | attachedEntity = myHibernateSession.merge(detachedEntity); | ... | Be aware of the semantics of the merge operation defined by JSR-220. Otherwise, you could simply do a fetch join when you retrieve the object initially to also retrieve required dependencies. [JBoss jBPM] - Understanding JBPM

The problem definition I would like to have a system where end users could upload their par files to my webapp and I could handle their processes for them independent of domain or usecase The webapp dependency 1. Every workflow applies to one of x documents on the server. The user selects the document at runtime. 2. Every workflow par uploaded to my webapp depends on user lists (to assign tasks at runtime) that are determined at runtime Progress I have figured out how to create pars and upload pars to my webapp. Question 1. I cannot understand is how can I tie a workflow to a document. Would that be done in each process instance as a context variable that I pass to the process instance. 2. If I want my webapp to be generic enough to accommodate any workflow definition then all that I perceive that I do in the webapp is to get the process instance and just call p.signal(). this would create token (or tokens in the case of forks) and processing can continue. [JBoss Portal] - How I can hide a portlet declaratively or programmatically?

I don't want to use the "Configure Dashboard" screen and want to add support to add/hide the portlets we expose in our application. How can I do that? If someone could point me to either the APIs and/or the tables that drive this, it would be helpful. Also, any changes made to default-object.xml do not reflect until and unless I rebuild the schema? Isn't there any other way out?? You do not even have to be that careful. I have succesfully zipped up an app server installed at c:\apps\jboss-4.2.1.GA, unzipped it on my Linux box at \opt\jboss-4.2.1.GA, and it ran just fine (though I did have to chmod the *.sh scripts, also I removed the server/xxx/[data|log|tmp|work] directories) >From what I can tell, there is nothing in the basic configuration that stores an absolute path.
