[JBoss Seam] - Long-running conversations and EntityHome

EntityHome is quite a useful class. Extend it, and you can create, update, and delete entities easily. The problem with it is that it's a POJO. I tried everything I could think of, but could not get it to exist in a long-running conversation. This limits its usefulness. So, I created a local interface and implemented it. The problem is that there is a remove() method in the EntityHome class, and when it becomes a SFSB, JBoss gets confused about whether remove() is the remove method, or the @Remove annotated method is the remove method. That makes it not work. Is there a solution to this, other than to not try to make EntityHome into a SFSB? The seamspace example has a servlet, (ContentServlet) which you could probably adapt to retrieve image resources from the file system rather than from the database. [JNDI/Naming/Network] - Remote JNDI lookup fails with JBoss4.2.1GA, while it works w

I am working on upgrade our JBoss from 4.0.5GA to 4.2.1GA. Knowing the port binding change of 4.2.1GA, I am using run.sh -b 0.0.0.0 option to enable remote access. I can access the web console, JMX console from the web without problem. But my remote jndi lookup always fails with Exception as follows: [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect]]] at org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext.checkRef(NamingContext.java:1416) at org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext.listBindings(NamingContext.java:830) at org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext.listBindings(NamingContext.java:823) at javax.naming.InitialContext.listBindings(Unknown Source) When I switch to my JBoss4.0.5GA server, it works fine. Hi, I'm using jboss-seam-CVS.2007-09-03_13-05-07 (after fixing ) but the Hibernate Validator is not working. Thanks Richard, I was looking for this file in jbossws-src-2.0.1.GA which i downloaded to see the options which are required by ant task. I couldnt find the source code in this bundle. Is their any other src code bundle i should be looking at to see where these task file lives. I think (not sure) the Script 'engine' does have access to normal objects in memory and the EL resolver only has access to variables. There was a request from the SEAM guys (Gavin himself afaik) to make the jbpm resolver pluggable, so it *could* use the same one as seam does.
