[EJB 3.0] - Registring new MDBs on startup

Hello there! I'd like to know if it is possible to register new MDBs on the startup. I'm developing a custom deployer, that reads an specific configuration-file. I need to register message listeners according to the xml. Registring the listeners is no problem at all. What I really would like to have is an MDB with all support provided by jboss. So is it possible? Also take into account the last change I did regarding the reloading of the user, because if a new instance of the same user is reloaded every time, then you don't expect to have the same reference instance variable updated. MyFacesGenericPortlet doesn't "care" about the version of Portal, it does not rely on JBoss Portal. I found a solution on another post on this forum. I inject processInstance then I can call processInstance.getRootToken().signal() and it works. yes, but saveCurrentUser() that you declared only updates the instance variable user and the changes maded by user at client is not visible here. in other words, when I click on submit the changes I've made, not binded to any variable at server-side. [JBoss Portal] - ClassCastException when using MyFacesGenericPortlet

We're about to upgrade our portal application from Portal 2.4 to 2.6. In the portlet.xml, the portlets uses the portlet-class org.apache.myfaces.portlet.MyFacesGenericPortlet We've tried with version 1.1.1 and 1.1.5 of MyFaces. When accessing the portal application we faces a ClassCastException when the MyFacesGenericPortlet attempts to get a handle to the FacesContext in the facesContext method: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.jboss.portal.portlet.impl.jsr168.api.PortletContextImpl It seems like that the PortletContextImpl is different in version 2.4 and 2.6 and that MyFacesGenericPortlet is unable to handle the 2.6 version. In fact there is a small difference in which package the PortletContextImpl is a part of: In 2.6 org.jboss.portal.portlet.impl.jsr168.api.PortletContextImpl In 2.4: org.jboss.portal.portlet.impl.jsr168.PortletContextImpl Does anyone know why MyFaces can't use the portlet context from Portal 2.6 and what we need to change to make it work?
