purely for performance reasons I think. adding referential constraints means it would take longer to insert a record, it wouldn't be much but since you could be writing 1000's of records a second it can add up. You could always add the FK your self if you thought it would be beneficial. We just ran across this as well (hence my separate post). I know Tim Fox talked about this in JIRA 908 and he was pretty sure that it was due to usages of a non JBM supported DB (e.g MySQL ISAM tables). Anyhow, try running the following SQL on your DB: | SELECT count(*) FROM JBM_MSG_REF | WHERE JBM_MSG_REF.MESSAGE_ID NOT IN (SELECT MESSAGE_ID FROM JBM_MSG); | Do you get more than 0 results? Also try the reverse case of this: | SELECT count(*) FROM JBM_MSG | WHERE JBM_MSG.MESSAGE_ID NOT IN (SELECT MESSAGE_ID FROM JBM_MSG_REF); | Do you get more than 0 results? [JBoss Messaging] - JBM_MSG_REF and JBM_MSG has no foreign key relationship?

Hi all, I was just curious as to why there is no FK relationship between JBOSS_MSG and JBOSS_MSG_REF tables. We had a situation in development where we had JBM_MSG_REF entries with no corresponding JBM_MSG. We're pretty sure this was because something went in behind the scenes and edited the tables (not Jboss) but were just curious as to why it wasn't there. Hello my friend About the error "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jgroups/Channel " You must copy the jgroups.jar which is located in "jboss-4.2.3.GA\server\all\lib" to your "jboss-4.2.3.GA\server\YourMessagingConfigName\lib" directory. the ui project should have a java project dependency to the non-ui project. And then go into both projects preferences and enable Seam on the project. That should do the trick. [JBossWS] - Hot deployment problems using XFire or Axis2

Hi, I'm deploying web services applications but the changes do not take effect until the JBoss is restarted. The JBoss I'm using is JBoss 4.0.4 with XFire 1.2 or Axis 2 for the services. This problem only happens to me only with web services. With others applications hot deployments are doing ok, so I know is something related to the soap stacks I'm using (XFire, Axis). Any idea how can I fix this? If I migrate my applications to EJB3 with JBoss 4.0.5 will this keep happening to me? [JBoss Portal] - Strange behavior with RenderSet definitions?

Hi, I've found a strange behavior while trying out JBoss Portal. I can be wrong cause I'm a beginner, but I've expected same behavior for 1) and 2). 1) a) Added to jboss-portal.sar/portal-core.war/WEB-INF/layout/portal-renderSet.xml <renderSet name="testRenderer"> | <set content-type="text/html"> | <ajax-enabled>true</ajax-enabled> | <region-renderer>org.jboss.portal.theme.impl.render.div.DivRegionRenderer</region-renderer> | <window-renderer>org.jboss.portal.theme.impl.render.empty.EmptyWindowRenderer</window-renderer> | <portlet-renderer>org.jboss.portal.theme.impl.render.empty.EmptyPortletRenderer</portlet-renderer> | <decoration-renderer>org.jboss.portal.theme.impl.render.empty.EmptyDecorationRenderer</decoration-renderer> | </set> | </renderSet> | | b) Added my portlet to a page in the "template" portal c) Changed the "template" Theme -> Renderset -> testRenderer d) When I enter a new user's Dashboard, it doesn't show the window decorations. 2) a) added to my *-object.xml file: | <property> | <name>theme.windowRendererId</name> | <value>emptyRenderer</value> | </property> | <property> | <name>theme.decorationRendererId</name> | <value>emptyRenderer</value> | </property> | <property> | <name>theme.portletRendererId</name> | <value>emptyRenderer</value> | </property> b) Added my portlet to a page in the "template" portal c) The "template" theme remains the same (default). d) When I enter a new user's Dashboard, it shows the window decorations. Specific page definitions shouldn't overhide portal configurations? Even more stranger is the fact that in 2) the same portlet outside the user Dashboard doesn't show window decorations.
