I found that Jopr can currently work only with Jboss 4.2. And I am running JBoss 5. Do you have any suggestions for an alternative? [JBoss Messaging] - Topics with / in the name

In previous version of JBoss (4.2.3GA ) running jbossmq I was able to create a topic name with slashes in the name (/), it seems that this does not work properly with JBoss Messaging (JBoss 5.0 CR2). Is there a limitation to what you can use for topic names? [Security & JAAS/JBoss] - Problem loading Web-Console AppletBrowser after Securing Con

All, Ive secured the jmx-console and web-console for Jboss5. I can see it entering the Decision node, then it tries to save the process. No other info to diagnose. This is frustrating. Thanks for the help anyway salaboy This is all I see in the log... [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - jboss 5 versus 4.x

Hello, I had started looking at JBoss 4.2.2GA a few months back. The basic scneario is: a. I deploy multiple applications in multiple instances of JBoss running on the same machine. b. Use JBoss security model for authenticating users and have a custom class which extends the JBoss databaseLoginModule class to do the authentication mentioned above. Since JBoss 5 is a shift (from the current architecture) I was wondering what impact this would have(if any) on the list above? Do things need to be done differently , esp. for the security model in JBoss 5 or will I be able to continue using my custom Jar which extends the databaseLoginModule class of Jboss? Any insight into this would be appreciated. Thanks. Hi , I'm novice to JBoss Server and I'm implementing JBoss Seam in jboss-4.2.3.GA. Which is running on JSP 2.1 Engine. But JBoss EL is not compatible with 2.1. I just want to configure it to 2.0 ,but I'm not sure whether I can do it or not, Is there any way to solve it. The high-level answer is that your client and the server need to be using the same versions of the classes that are being serialized and transferred. To do this, you need to package the jboss422/lib/jboss-common.jar into your application. You will have to set up a loader repository so that you app will use this jar file instead of the one that comes with jboss325. That is the general idea. Whether it will work in practice, I don't know because I have not tried it. Also, not having tried it, I could not provide any details on getting it to work.
