You can see it because you put your variable access as read,write. If you only put read, your variables never come back to the process. I don't know what are you trying to say with the fork... [JBoss Portal] - Portlet form's POST method behaving like GET method

Hello, I am using Jboss Portal 2.6.6-GA. I have a form in a portlet, that collects username and password from the user and sends it to the portlet logic to process it. <form name="mainForm" action="<portlet:actionURL/>" method="POST"> | <INPUT TYPE=TEXT NAME=username SIZE=20> | <INPUT TYPE=PASSWORD NAME=password SIZE=20> | : | : | </form> When submitted, even though the form is sent using POST method, the form data is seen in the address bar of the browser, including the password that the user typed. What I am seeing in the address bar is something like this: https://myserver.com:443/portal/sec/portal/default/default/MyPortletWindo... But I do not want the password or any other form data to be visible in the location bar. How can I prevent this? Any clues? Thanks much in advance. .Bala. [JNDI/Naming/Network] - Registering Objects - Novice Question

I have a general question about JNDI. I have read some documentation and plan to read more, but I thought I should post my question to make sure I am heading down the right path. I have a java object that makes telnet connections and enables you to programatically screen scrape telnet 3270 applications. The problem I have is that I need to write a service that uses this object. The object has connect() and disconnect() methods to connect to a server, but I do not want to connect and disconnect every time the service is called. So, here is my idea: 1. At JBoss or application startup create the telnet session object and have the object connect to the telnet server and then register the object with JNDI. 2. From the service perform a JNDI lookup to retreive the object and use it. (Since the object has already connected there will be no need to connect) Here are my quesitons: A. Is it possible to do the above? Is JNDI the correct mechanism to use for this sort of thing? If so can someone point me to some example or tutorial? B. How are objects created by JBoss and registered with JNDI? C. Am I going about this in the right way? D. This is probably beyond my skill level, but is it possible to create a pool of such objects instead of just one? [JBossWS] - wsconsume fails on NoClassDefFoundException (AS 4.2.2)

Hi. I have created a web service using annotations, but when I try to generate the client code I keep getting this exception: | sudo sh ./wsconsume.sh -k -o ~/wstest/bin/ -s ~/wstest/src/ -p test.ws.client http://myurl:8080/mywebproject/mywebservice?wsdl | Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/mirror/apt/AnnotationProcessorFactory | I am using java 1.5, and tools.jar is being added to the classpath, according to the wsconsume.sh script. [JBoss Tools (users)] - Re: need help on import tld file

I got my problem worked around. Basically it is not finding any of the TLD files because my projects are not considered having JSF capabilities. (they are existing projects setup using SEAM, facelets and richfaces). Following akazakov's suggestion creating a sample project I used JBoss Tools to generate a JSF project. And it worked this time. The good thing is that after I loaded the TLD file I deleted the testing project and it still works. So I am good with it now. Thanks a lot akazakov.
