[JCA/JBoss] - Lookup datasource from another Resource Archive (RAR) applic

Hello, I have an application package into a RAR. I'm trying to lookup a local datasource, by I can't : objet not bound. It succeeds if I configure the datasource with <use-java-context>false</use-java-context> to enable remote access altough my rar application and datasource are deployed together in the same JBoss. Why ? Does RAR application considered as remote one ? [Beginners Corner] - Re: How to start building a new portlet?

The JBoss Portal docs give a simple tutorial on developing portlets. A also have another resource, but it is not free. I can provide the URL if you like. As far as using Eclipse goes, I simply include the portal JAR files in the libraries for my project. But then, I tend to use Eclipse as just a glorified text editor. " According to the wiki I thought all I had to do was to turn on the callByValue setting in the jboss-service.xml. Do I also need to make the suggested changes to the jboss-app.xml? Can you provide more details about the packaging of both your application? Specifically, is that NexusEventDefinition interface (and other bean interfaces) packaged in both the EARs? NexusEventDefinition is a POJO with and @Entity annotation. The method on my session bean returns this pojo. I do not have an interface for it. Should I create an interface and modify the Session bean to return the interface instead of the class? The packaging is as follows. 1. I have two ear projects: NexusEvents.ear and KeyB.ear. 2. I have a message driven bean in the KeyB.ear that I want to be able to call a session bean deployed in the NexusEvents.ear to return an instance of NexusEventDefinition. 3. I have exported the session bean interface and the NexusEventDefinition class out of my NexusEvents project into a jar named nexusevents.jar and have deployed it with the KeyB.ear. [JBoss Tools (users)] - Re: JBoss tools on Ganymede?

Hey, I've been searching online for the answer to your question. From what I understand Jboss Tools 3.0 will be compatible. But it would be nice if they could patch up V. 2 to work with it because Jboss Tools 3 isn't due till the end of the year. If anyone from Jboss has any ideas if v2 will be ported to Ganymede or if there is a way to make it work now please let us know.. Thanks in advance Darryl A. [JBoss Tools (users)] - Stopping Jboss Server and Full Publish or Incremental Publis

Hello all, Just a quick doubt, I am using Eclipse Europa with the newest release of Jboss Tools (JBossTools-2.1.2.GA-ALL-win32). I am using Jboss AS 4.2.2.GA for my application server. My projects are made using JBoss Seam 2.0.2.SP1. When I have a project deployed I have two problems. First a Full Publish and Incremental Publish don't seem to work. So I must stop the server and re-start it for each code change I've made. The other problem is when stopping the server if I stop it while in the JBoss Server View it takes a very very long time to stop. But if I stop it while in the Console it stops immediatly. So, my doubt is whether these are bugs in Jboss Tools, Jboss Server or something else. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Darryl A.
